The Little Mermaid, A Must See For All Children!

Being a parent is more complicated than providing for your children. You need to make sure they have food, clothes and love, but you also have to cater for their educational needs. You have to give them a solid education to help them become responsible adults. However, if you aren't careful with the movies and TV shows to allow your kids to watch, you can easily push them in the wrong direction and confuse them.

With Walt Disney Pictures, you can't go wrong. Their animation movies are brilliant. They are very beautiful, the characters are very well defined and there's a lesson to be learned at the end of each film. The Little Mermaid is one of these movies that can fascinate children and their parents alike. It is an animated musical fantasy film based on the fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen, the renowned Danish writer who charmed our childhood.

The Little Mermaid is one of the best animated films produced by Walt Disney Pictures, much better than many films released before 1989. The story of little Ariel, who gets transformed into a human by Ursula, the sea witch, is full of learnings for children of all ages. The story gets complicated, with Ariel risking to remain a human forever if Eric kissed her. Luckily, Ariel turns back into a mermaid just when Eric was about to kiss her. However, Ursula kidnaps her, so the story goes on. After lots of fights and conflicts, the good wins, Ariel and Eric get married and their marriage is blessed by Triton. All these can keep a child entertained for hours, while giving the parent a chance to teach them the important values in life, the various emotions and feelings.

The movie is captivating also through the beauty of the characters. You can't help yourself from falling in love with the little mermaid. She's so cute that children empathize with her directly. They all wish she gets away from the claws of nasty Ursula. Eventually, the audience has reasons to celebrate, as the mermaid becomes human in order to be able to live the rest of her life together with Eric. Children have the chance to learn that marriage and family are good things and not some empty conventions that fall apart most of the time. The educational side of the movie is very well mixed into the beauty of the story and the captivating imagery.
